Political Ad Agency for Campaigns & PACs
We are a political ad agency for candidates, political committees, ballot measure campaigns and advocacy groups. Political work runs on a fixed calendar, and the election date does not move. Every ad must pass platform verification and carry the right disclaimer. We plan, buy and test digital ads with that deadline and those rules in mind.

Key takeaways
- Plans run backward from registration deadlines, mail ballot dates, early voting and Election Day.
- Platform verification and paid-for-by disclaimers are set up early, and your treasurer and counsel approve copy before launch.
- Itemized invoices match each buy so your treasurer can report spending accurately.
Political Campaign Marketing From Launch to Election Day
Campaigns move in phases. Early on, the work is name recognition, list building and fundraising. Small-dollar donors often come through email, text and social ads that send people to platforms such as ActBlue or WinRed. In the middle, the focus shifts to persuasion with the voters who are still deciding. At the end, it turns to turnout: reminding supporters to register, request a ballot and vote.
We plan backward from the dates that matter. Those include registration deadlines, the day mail ballots go out, the start of early voting and Election Day itself. Issue campaigns and advocacy groups often run year-round instead, with spikes around votes, hearings and news. Good political marketing fits the budget to those windows rather than spreading it evenly.
Advertising for Political Campaigns, Platform by Platform
Each platform has its own rules for political ads. We handle setup and approvals, and we plan around the limits.
Google and YouTube
US election ads require advertiser verification, and Google shows a paid-for-by disclosure. Targeting is limited to geography, age, gender and context, so voter list uploads and remarketing are not allowed. Election ads appear in Google's public transparency report.
Facebook and Instagram
Meta requires authorization, including an ID check, for ads about social issues, elections or politics. Ads carry a paid-for-by disclaimer and stay in the Meta Ad Library for seven years. Meta has also blocked new political ads in the final week before recent US general elections.
Streaming TV and Programmatic
Many streaming and display platforms accept political ads, each with its own approval process. We plan reach and frequency by district.
Text and Email
Political text programs need carrier registration, often through Campaign Verify, plus consent and opt-out handling under FCC and TCPA rules.
Where Paid Political Ads Are Not Allowed
TikTok, LinkedIn and Microsoft Advertising do not accept paid political ads. On TikTok and LinkedIn, campaigns can still post organic content within each platform's rules.
Disclaimers, AI Disclosure and Paperwork
Platform disclaimers and legal disclaimers are not always the same thing. Federal law, through FEC rules, requires disclaimers on public communications by political committees, including paid internet ads. The wording depends on who paid and whether a candidate authorized the ad. State and local races follow state election law, which varies a lot.
Google and Meta both require a disclosure when election or political ads use realistic AI-generated or digitally altered content. We flag any altered image, voice or video before it goes to review.
We also keep the paperwork in order. You get itemized invoices that match each buy, so your treasurer can report spending accurately. Your treasurer and counsel approve disclaimers and copy before launch.
Political Marketing Research and Message Testing
Research tells you what to say and to whom. We run online surveys and panel tests to compare messages, then test ad versions on small budgets before scaling the winners. For formal polling, we work with your pollster or a polling firm rather than presenting ourselves as one.
Voter file data from your party, a data vendor or your own lists can shape audiences on platforms that allow list matching. Google election ads do not, so we plan different tactics there. Each month we report reach, frequency, cost per completed view and list growth by district.
Brands, Causes and Being Political in Marketing
Not every client is a candidate. Companies and nonprofits that take public positions are being political in marketing, whether they mean to or not. On Meta, ads about social issues need the same authorization and disclaimers as candidate ads.
Nonprofits should also know their legal status. 501(c)(3) organizations may not campaign for or against candidates, though they can run nonpartisan education and some advocacy. For nonprofit programs outside elections, see our nonprofit marketing page. Public agencies running awareness campaigns can see our government marketing page.
How We Work, Fees and Limits
Step 1: We meet with your campaign manager, finance lead and counsel to set goals, budget and approval steps. Step 2: We complete platform verification early, since it can take time. Step 3: We build audiences, creative and a flight plan by phase. Step 4: We launch, test and report weekly in the final stretch.
Management starts at $1,000 a month, or a fixed quote in writing per flight for short races, with media billed separately. Compare political marketing firms on compliance experience, invoice detail and how fast they can change creative near the deadline.
We will not promise votes, wins, viral reach or approval times, since platforms review political ads on their own schedule. This work runs under our full digital marketing agency services.

Start verification and list building months before you need persuasion ads. Platform approvals take time, and early fundraising and list growth pay off later. Most spending still lands in the final weeks.
On some platforms, yes. Meta and many streaming platforms allow list matching within their rules. Google election ads do not allow it, so we use geography, age, gender and context there.
Yes. Digital ads can suit local races well, since broadcast TV often covers far more area than the district. We follow your state's disclaimer and reporting rules.
We plan for it. We submit creative early, keep approved backup versions ready and leave room in the schedule for review. Platform deadlines and blackout periods go on the calendar from day one.
