User Testing Service & UX Audit
Our user testing service puts real people in front of your website and watches them try the tasks that matter to your business. You see where they hesitate, what they misread and where they give up. We pair that with a UX review against usability principles, so you get a clear list of problems and fixes.
- Free 30-minute growth audit, no obligation
- Fixed quote in writing before work starts
- Reply to every request within 24 hours
Key takeaways
- Key flows are reviewed against usability principles such as the Nielsen heuristics, and each problem is scored by severity.
- Participants who match your audience try set tasks while thinking out loud, in moderated or unmoderated sessions.
- Findings are ranked by severity and frequency, with a video clip of each issue and a recommended fix.
What a UX Audit and User Testing Can Show You
Analytics tell you where people leave a page. They rarely tell you why. Watching someone try to find a product, book a demo or complete a form fills that gap.
The two methods work best together. In a UX audit, we review your site against usability principles, such as Jakob Nielsen's ten heuristics, and flag likely problems. In user testing, real people from your audience try set tasks while they think out loud.
The audit is faster and cheaper. Testing confirms which problems actually stop people, and often finds issues a review alone would miss.
What Our UX Audit Service Includes
We shape each project around the tasks your visitors most need to complete.
Heuristic Evaluation
A page-by-page review of key flows for clarity, consistency, error handling, navigation and content, scored by severity.
Moderated User Tests
Live sessions where a researcher guides participants through tasks and asks follow-up questions.
Unmoderated User Tests
Recorded sessions where participants complete tasks on their own, useful for larger samples and quick rounds.
Mobile and Accessibility Checks
Tests on real phones and a spot check of common accessibility barriers such as contrast, focus order and form labels.
Findings Report
Problems ranked by severity and frequency, with video clips of each issue and a recommended fix.
How Our Website Usability Testing Service Works
Step 1: We agree on goals, the audience and the tasks to test, such as finding a product, comparing plans or completing checkout. Step 2: We write a test script and screener questions.
Step 3: We recruit participants who match your audience, through a research panel or from your own customer list. Step 4: We run the sessions. Small rounds of around five people per audience group usually surface the main problems, and we run more rounds after fixes.
Step 5: We analyze recordings, rank the issues and present findings in a live readout with your team. We use tools such as UserTesting, Maze or Lookback, or your own if you already pay for one.
User Testing Cost and Pricing
User testing cost depends on a few clear factors. The biggest are the number of participants, how hard they are to recruit and whether sessions are moderated. Recruiting general consumers costs less than recruiting doctors, IT buyers or other specialists, who need higher incentives.
Each unmoderated round or moderated study is a one-off project with a fixed quote in writing. A UX audit without testing is quoted the same way. Participant incentives and panel fees are included in the quote or listed separately, so you know where the money goes.
We agree on scope and price in writing before recruiting starts.
Choosing a User Testing Company or UX Audit Agency
Ask who writes the tasks, who recruits participants and who analyzes the sessions. Watch for reports with no video evidence, or recommendations that do not trace back to something users did. We will not tell you how many conversions a fix will add. Testing shows where people struggle, and an A/B test is the way to measure the effect of a fix.
Findings can feed a CRO audit and testing roadmap, or a redesign through our UI/UX design service. See all of our conversion rate optimization services.

UX Audit & User Testing Questions, Answered
Straight answers to the questions we hear most. Ask us anything else on the free audit call.
For finding usability problems, small rounds of around five participants per audience group are common. If you have very different audiences, each one needs its own group. Larger samples help when you want to compare designs or measure task success rates.
In moderated testing, a researcher runs the session live and can ask follow-up questions. Unmoderated tests are recorded without a researcher present, which is faster and cheaper but gives less depth. Many projects use both.
Yes. For moderated sessions, your team can observe live without being seen by the participant. For unmoderated tests, you get the recordings and highlight clips.
Yes. We can test clickable prototypes from Figma or similar tools. Finding problems at that stage is cheaper than fixing them after launch.
We use UserTesting, Maze and Lookback for sessions, plus Hotjar or Microsoft Clarity for recordings of real site visits. We can work in your existing tools if you already have licenses.
