Google Business Profile Optimization

Our Google Business Profile optimization services are for local businesses whose profile is incomplete, out of date or untouched since it was claimed. For many searchers, your profile on Search and Maps is the first thing they see, before your website. We make it complete, correct and active, and we keep it within Google's guidelines so it does not put your listing at risk.

Key takeaways

  • The business name matches real-world signage, with no added keywords or cities that could trigger a suspension.
  • Public edit suggestions are checked on an agreed schedule and anything changed without approval is corrected.
  • You stay the primary owner of the profile and add us as a manager, so removing access changes nothing else.
01

What Google Business Profile Optimization Includes

We go through every field Google offers for your category and fill in what is true and useful. Small details, such as holiday hours or a missing service, often decide whether someone calls you or the next result.

  • Business Name

Your real-world name as it appears on your signage, website and documents, with no added keywords or city names.

  • Categories

The primary category that most accurately describes your core business, plus secondary categories only where they are accurate.

  • Services and Products

Entries that match what you actually sell, written in the plain words customers use when they search.

  • Hours and Attributes

Regular, holiday and special hours, accessibility details and any other attributes that genuinely apply.

  • Photos

Real photos of your premises, products and work, taken by you or your staff, with simple phone tips from us if needed.

  • Links and Tracking

Website, booking and menu links tagged so visits from the profile show up clearly in analytics.

02

Shortcuts We Avoid

Google's guidelines say the business name should reflect the name you use in the real world. Stuffing it with services or locations can get a profile suspended, even if competitors appear to get away with it. We also avoid listings at addresses where you do not actually operate, duplicate profiles for the same location and categories that do not describe your business.

If a profile is already suspended, we review what likely caused it and help you prepare an appeal with supporting documents. Google decides the outcome, and we cannot promise reinstatement.

03

Reviews and Replies, Without Gating

We help you set up a simple way to ask every customer for a review, such as a short link on receipts, invoices or follow-up texts. We do not use review gating, which means screening customers first and sending only satisfied ones to Google. Google's policies prohibit it. We never write, buy or swap reviews, and we do not offer discounts or gifts in exchange for them.

We draft replies to new reviews for your approval, including calm, factual replies to negative ones. Reviews that break Google's policies can be reported, but Google makes that call. More detail is in our Google reviews service.

04

Posts, Edits and Ongoing Upkeep

A profile is not a one-time setup. Google lets the public suggest edits to your listing, and some suggestions are applied without much notice, such as changed hours or a new phone number. We check the profile on a schedule we agree and correct anything that changed without your approval.

We also publish updates for offers, events and new services, refresh photos and adjust hours ahead of holidays. Each update links to the most relevant page on your site, not only the homepage.

05

How the Profile Fits With Your Website and Local SEO

Your profile and your site should tell the same story. We check that the name, address, phone number and services on your site match the profile, and that the linked page loads fast on mobile and answers what a nearby searcher wants to know.

We do not promise a map-pack position. Distance from the searcher is outside anyone's control, and Google decides the order. Profile work is one part of our local SEO service and our wider SEO services, which also cover location pages, citations and local links.

06

What You Provide and Pricing

You stay the primary owner of your profile and add us as a manager. If Google asks for verification, such as a short video of your location, you complete that step and we guide you through it. We also need your accurate hours, service list and photos, plus someone who can approve review replies.

Ongoing profile management is part of plans that start at $1,000 a month, run month to month and end on 7 days' written notice. A one-time profile cleanup is available for a fixed quote in writing. Businesses that also want help with local ads and community marketing can see our local marketing service.

FAQ

Google Business Profile Optimization Questions, Answered

Straight answers to the questions we hear most. Ask us anything else on the free audit call.

No. Local results depend on the searcher's location and Google's own systems, so no honest provider can promise a map-pack spot. We make sure your profile is complete, accurate and active, which is the part you control.

Not unless it is genuinely part of your real-world branding. Google's guidelines prohibit adding extra keywords to the name, and doing it can lead to a suspension.

We cannot remove reviews. If a review breaks Google's policies, for example spam or a conflict of interest, we can help you report it, and Google decides. For genuine complaints, a calm public reply often does more good than removal would.

No. You remain the primary owner and add us as a manager. If we stop working together, you remove our access and everything else stays in place.

Duplicates split reviews and confuse searchers. We identify which listing to keep and follow Google's process for reporting the other one. Whether any reviews carry over is Google's decision.
