Franchise Lead Generation & Recruiting

We run franchise lead generation for two jobs: finding qualified franchisee candidates for franchisors, and bringing customers to each location. Both run in your brand's name, so every lead is yours and stays in your CRM. We do not sell shared franchise leads from portal lists.

Key takeaways

  • Recruiting ads use earnings figures only as your Franchise Disclosure Document states them, under the FTC Franchise Rule.
  • Candidate forms screen for liquid capital, territory, owner role and opening plans before Discovery Day.
  • Portal, broker and owned campaigns are compared on cost per candidate, Discovery Day attendance and signed agreements.
01

Two Kinds of Franchise Leads

When franchisors talk about franchise leads, they usually mean people who might buy a franchise. Those candidates need months of education, financial screening and calls before they sign. When franchisees talk about leads, they mean local customers who want a quote, a booking or a visit this week.

We handle both, with separate campaigns, budgets and reporting. Development campaigns sit with your franchise sales team. Location campaigns sit within your brand standards and report by territory.

Most of this page covers franchisee recruiting, since that is where the rules and the sales cycle are most different.

02

Portals, Brokers and a Pipeline of Your Own

Many franchisors buy candidate inquiries from franchise portals or pay broker networks a fee when a placement closes. Both can work. Portal inquiries are often shared across several brands, though, and many people fill out forms for a dozen concepts in one sitting. Broker placements can cost a large share of your franchise fee.

Candidates who come through your own ads, content and webinars already know your brand. They have read your story, watched your owners talk and chosen to raise their hand. That pipeline also gives you data you own on what makes a candidate close.

We help you compare all three sources on the same terms: cost per candidate, Discovery Day attendance and signed agreements.

03

The FTC Franchise Rule and Earnings Claims in Ads

Franchise sales ads carry real legal risk. Under the FTC Franchise Rule, a prospect must receive your Franchise Disclosure Document at least 14 calendar days before signing or paying you any money. Any statement about sales, income or profit must have a reasonable basis and appear in Item 19 of your FDD.

That means no ad can promise earnings that are not in your Item 19. We write recruiting ads around the business model, support, territory and owner stories, and we use financial figures only as your FDD states them.

Some registration states also have their own rules for franchise sales advertising. Your franchise attorney reviews our campaigns before launch, and you stay responsible for meeting federal and state rules.

04

Screening Candidates Before Discovery Day

Your development team should spend time on people who can buy. We build forms and follow-up that sort candidates early.

  • Liquid Capital and Net Worth

Ranges that match your minimums, asked in a respectful way, with financing partners mentioned where you have them.

  • Territory

The market they want, checked against open territories so nobody is promised a sold area.

  • Role and Timeline

Owner-operator or semi-absentee, and when they hope to open, so your team can set the right next step.

  • Nurture by Email and Webinar

Candidates who are not ready get an education series and an invite to a live info session.

  • Booked Intro Calls

Candidates who reply to email or LinkedIn follow-up can book an intro call straight onto your development calendar.

05

Location Campaigns, Pricing and Limits

For franchisee customer leads, we run local search, map listings and paid social for each territory, inside your brand rules. Spend can come from your ad fund, the franchisee or both. Each location sees its own calls, forms and bookings. Our local lead generation program handles the map and search side.

Franchise development campaigns start at $1,000 a month, and any setup work is quoted up front. Location programs are quoted per territory, up front. Cost depends on your investment level, the number of target markets and how many locations need local campaigns. We will not promise a number of signed franchisees or a fixed cost per lead.

The fee depends on channels, accounts and workload. We confirm it in writing before anything starts.

  • Month to month

No long contract. You can stop with 7 days' written notice, and your website, data and content stay yours.

FAQ

Franchise Lead Generation Questions, Answered

Straight answers to the questions we hear most. Ask us anything else on the free audit call.

It varies by brand and investment level, but it usually takes months, not weeks. The FDD waiting period, financing and site work all add time. We report on each stage so you can see where candidates stall.

We do not resell portal leads. We can help you judge which portals to keep and run your own campaigns beside them. Then you can compare sources on signed agreements, not just inquiries.

Yes. Newer brands often need a clear story, owner testimonials and a strong FDD-backed message before ads will work. We start with a smaller test and grow it as candidates close.

Yes, if your agreement allows it. We can manage a shared program so brand rules stay consistent while each owner sees their own results.

It depends on your investment level and ideal owner. Search, LinkedIn, Meta, email nurture and webinars are common. We test a small set first, then move budget to what brings qualified candidates.
