Real Estate Email Marketing

Our real estate email marketing keeps your name in front of buyers, sellers and past clients for the months or years before they move. Most leads are not ready on the day they sign up. Some are browsing, some are waiting on a lease to end, and some will not list for two years. We build the emails that stay useful through that wait.

Key takeaways

  • Copy avoids phrases that steer buyers, such as saying who a neighborhood is perfect for, to stay within the Fair Housing Act.
  • Each contact is tagged by type, such as buyer lead, seller lead or sphere, and contacts from old open house sheets get a re-permission email first.
  • Automated listing alerts already sent by your CRM are checked first, so contacts do not get two versions of the same email.
01

Why Email Marketing for Real Estate Agents Is a Long Game

A real estate decision often starts long before the first showing. People sign up on a portal or your site, look at a few homes, then go quiet. When they come back, they tend to call the agent who stayed in touch with something useful.

Email is a cheap way to stay in touch at that scale. A short market report, a new listing in the right ZIP code or a note on rates gives people a reason to open. Over time, those opens show who is getting closer to a move.

Past clients matter just as much. Many agents get a large share of business from repeat clients and referrals. A home anniversary email or a yearly value update keeps those relationships warm without a phone call every month.

Emails We Build for Agents, Teams and Brokerages

Each email type has one job. We build the ones that fit your market and your sales cycle.

  • Listing Alerts

New listings and price changes matched to the areas, price range and home type a lead looked at.

  • Monthly Market Updates

Local prices, days on market and inventory for your neighborhoods, written in plain words. Our real estate content writing service covers the blog and website side.

  • New Lead Nurture

Automated series for buyers and sellers who are not ready yet, built as drip emails that pause once they reply. For automation across text, CRM and email, see our real estate marketing automation page.

  • Past-Client and Sphere Emails

Home anniversaries, yearly value check-ins, holiday notes and referral asks.

  • Open House and Just-Sold Notices

Short sends to nearby contacts and active buyers in the same price range.

03

Fair Housing, MLS Data and CAN-SPAM

Real estate emails are advertising, so the Fair Housing Act applies. Copy cannot show a preference for or against buyers based on race, color, religion, sex, disability, familial status or national origin. We avoid phrases that steer people, such as describing who a neighborhood is "perfect for." Some state laws add more protected classes, and we follow the ones in your state.

Listing data comes with rules too. Your MLS sets how listings, photos and broker credit can appear in emails. We follow your MLS and brokerage guidelines and include required brokerage details.

Every marketing email meets CAN-SPAM. That means a real sender name, honest subject lines, your postal address and an unsubscribe link that we honor within 10 business days.

How a Realtor Email Marketing Program Starts

Step 1: We export your contacts from your CRM, such as Follow Up Boss, kvCORE, Lofty or a spreadsheet. We remove bounced addresses and tag each contact by type: buyer lead, seller lead, past client or sphere.

Step 2: We check how contacts joined your list. People who asked for listing alerts can get them. Contacts from a purchased list or an old open house sheet get a careful re-permission email first.

Step 3: We write and build the core automations, then set a monthly calendar for market updates and campaigns. Step 4: We report replies, showing requests, click activity on listings and unsubscribes each month.

Your CRM may already send automated listing alerts. We check those first so contacts do not get two versions of the same email.

Pricing for Real Estate Email Marketing Services

Setup gets a fixed quote up front and covers list cleanup, templates and your first automations. Monthly management starts at $1,000 a month.

Cost depends on how many markets you cover, how many agents send under your brand, and whether we write a fresh market report each month. A solo agent with one farm area needs less than a brokerage with several offices.

We will not promise a set number of listings or closings from email. We will show you which emails lead to replies and appointments. For the wider program, see our email marketing services.

FAQ

Real Estate Email Marketing Questions, Answered

Straight answers to the questions we hear most. Ask us anything else on the free audit call.

Yes, for most agents. Portals and social platforms control who sees your posts. Your email list is yours, and it reaches past clients and leads directly. The two work well together.

Most agents do well with one market update or newsletter a month, plus automated alerts and nurture emails. Active buyers can get more frequent listing alerts because they asked for them. We watch unsubscribes and adjust.

Yes. We can send under each agent's name with their photo and contact details, while keeping one brand template. Each agent's contacts stay in their own segment.

Not always. Many real estate CRMs include email and listing alerts. If yours limits design or reporting, we may suggest a dedicated platform and sync it with your CRM. We look at your setup before we suggest any change.

We share factual data such as prices and inventory. For schools and neighborhoods we link to public sources rather than describe who an area suits. That keeps your emails clear of Fair Housing problems.
