Church Facebook Ads

We run church Facebook ads for congregations that want to welcome new visitors, fill seasonal services, and share events with their community. Many people look up a church online long before they walk through the door. A warm, clear invitation in their feed can make that first visit feel less daunting.

Key takeaways

  • Meta no longer allows targeting by religious interest, so campaigns rely on location, the event itself and warm audiences.
  • Ad copy invites people to something specific instead of asking about their faith, which Meta's personal attributes policy rejects.
  • After a seasonal service, follow-up ads invite first-time guests back for a new series or a newcomers' lunch.
01

What Churches Use Paid Social For

Church ads work best when they invite people to something specific. A general ad about your church is easy to scroll past. An invitation to a Christmas Eve candlelight service, with a time, a place, and a note about parking and kids' programs, is easier to act on.

Common campaigns include Easter and Christmas services, sermon series launches, and vacation Bible school. Others promote community meals, recovery groups, youth events, and livestreams for people not ready to visit in person. We also promote plan-a-visit pages, where newcomers can tell you they are coming.

02

Reaching People Without Faith-Based Targeting

Meta removed detailed targeting options based on religious practices and groups in 2022. You can no longer target people by religious interest. That changes how church campaigns are built.

We rely on location, age ranges where they fit the event, and the creative itself to reach the right people. A family-focused Easter egg hunt ad naturally draws parents nearby. We also build custom audiences from people who visited your website, watched your videos, or engaged with your Page. Those warm audiences are often the best people to invite to a first visit.

Your congregation can help too. Members who share an event ad with friends extend your reach in a way no setting can.

03

Writing Welcoming Ads That Fit Meta's Policies

Meta's personal attributes policy covers religion. Ads cannot assert or imply a person's beliefs, so copy that asks readers about their faith directly is likely to be rejected. Invitations work better anyway. "Join us for Easter at 9 or 11" is clear, welcoming, and within the rules.

If an ad takes a position on a political or social issue, it may fall under Meta's special ad category for social issues, elections, or politics. That requires authorization and a "Paid for by" disclaimer. Most service and event invitations do not, and we flag any that might.

04

A Simple Plan for Easter and Christmas

Seasonal services are when most churches see the biggest jump in first-time visitors. We build each campaign in a few steps.

  • Weeks Ahead

Short video from your pastor or a past service, shown to your area to build familiarity.

  • Two to Three Weeks Out

Event ads with service times, location, and what to expect for families.

  • Final Week

Reminders to people who engaged with earlier ads or visited your service times page.

  • After the Service

Follow-up ads inviting first-time guests back for a new series or a newcomers' lunch.

05

Budget, Pricing, and What Success Looks Like

Management starts at $1,000 a month, and a single seasonal campaign can be run with a fixed quote. Ad spend on Meta is billed separately and is often modest for a local church.

We measure plan-a-visit sign-ups, event responses, livestream views, and website visits. Your welcome team can tell us how many first-time guests mentioned seeing an ad. We will not promise attendance numbers, because a visit depends on far more than an ad. For search ads and Google Ad Grants, see our church PPC page.

Campaigns run through our Facebook ads and Instagram ads services. For regular posting and community work, see our church social media marketing page, and see all of our social media advertising services.

How Pricing Works

Vynce Digital LLC is a registered US company, with our head office in Dubai and our delivery team in Srinagar. Here is how working with us is billed.

  • Plans from $1,000 a month

The fee depends on channels, accounts and workload. We confirm it in writing before anything starts.

  • Month to month

No long contract. You can stop with 7 days' written notice, and your website, data and content stay yours.

  • Ad spend is billed separately

Your Meta, TikTok, Pinterest or other ads usually run from our ad accounts, with spend billed separately from our fee. Prefer your own account? We can run it there instead.

Many churches start with a small budget for one seasonal service or event. That shows what results look like in your area before you commit more. We help you set a budget that fits your community size and goals.

Yes. Ads reach people in your area whether or not they follow your Page. An active Page with recent posts does help, because many people check it before they visit.

Yes. Simple video from your pastor, worship team, or members often works better than polished production. We can send your volunteers a short phone-filming guide, then edit the clips into ads in-house.

No registration is needed to run standard ads on Meta. Fundraising campaigns and ads on social issues have extra requirements. We check those before any giving or advocacy campaign goes live. Our nonprofit social media ads page covers fundraising campaigns in more detail.
